Westward Music Festival, a multi-genre, multi-venue music festival, returns to Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»next month to showcase some of today’s most influential acts.
Now in its third year, is the city’s largest four-day music festival spread across multiple venues and features a litany of acclaimed artists from across the globe. In addition, Vancouver’s own beloved psychedelic-rockers, Black Mountain, will also be included in the lineup.
Other artists in the roaster include Japanese singer, songwriter, rapper and producer Joji, Australian indie rock-folk band The Paper Kites, American singer-songwriter Lissie, Thai singer-songwriter Phum Viphurit and Brooklyn rapper Leikeli47.
The lineup will also include: Junglepussy, Mt.Joy, Leikeli47, Joseph, The Wonder Years, Le1f, Titus Andronicus, Ziggy Alberts, Owen Pallets, Zack Villere, Why?, Elder Island, Harlequin Gold, Honors, Travis Thompson, Needles//Pins, Little Sprout, Bombargo, Chief State, Chase Your Words, Casinos, Douse, Club Sofa, and Kim Gray.
The festival takes place Sept. 12 to 15 at multiple venues in downtown Vancouver, and guests can purchase a festival wristband or tickets to individual shows. A wristband entitles you to entry to all Westward Music Festival events. Wristband pickup will be available Sept. 11 to 15 at the Vogue Theatre box office (918 Granville St.) from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Individual shows will take place at venues around the city including The Vogue Theatre, The Imperial, The Biltmore Cabaret, The Fox Cabaret, The Rickshaw Theatre and the Queen Elizabeth Theatre.
