Do you have an adorable dog? If your canine companion has the makings of a Broadway star, check out this audition opportunity.

Do you have a dog who's destined to be a star?

Align Entertainment is searching for adorable dogs who'd like to play a starring role in their upcoming production of Annie: The Musical. The production will be onstage at the Michael J. Fox Theatre in Burnaby from Feb. 1 through 16.

Dogs must be available for all performances, as well as rehearsals starting Jan. 13. (Likely dates for rehearsals include Jan. 18 evening, Jan. 20 daytime, Jan. 25 evening, and Jan. 30 and 31 evenings.)

The dog should be gentle, well-behaved, comfortable around children and adults, and leash-trained. Dogs should be able to follow simple commands such as "come" and "sit."

If you think your pooch has what it takes, open auditions are being held on Sunday, Jan. 6 at the Lindbjerg Academy of The Performing Arts, 7-75 Blue Mountain St. in Coquitlam. Registration is from 3 to 4 p.m., and auditions run from 4 to 6 p.m. Bring along a photo of your dog.
