There’s nothing quite like sitting back and soaking in the sights and sounds of a musical laser show. Now Vancouver’s own is ready to rock our weekends once again with a new lineup of Saturday night shows, including their newest feature, Gorillaz.
Show-goers will experience their Fulldome 360 video projection system RGB lasers, full concert surround sound, and “Armie the Star Projector” all in sync and choreographed live in the Deep Space Dowm at BCIT in Burnaby.
The lineup includes its classic Dark Side of the Moon (Pink Floyd) and Radiohead shows, as well as its new Gorillaz show, which features popular songs from the band and new tunes from Humanz.
Plus, the BCIT Planetarium is offering a new free astronomy show, featuring “Out There,” which is about the search for extrasolar planets, and “Â鶹´«Ă˝Ół»Stars Live” which focuses on the night sky over our city.
All of the VidLaser shows are 360-degree A/V immersive experiences, making for a Saturday night outing that’s (potentially) out of this world.
, but only recently has the venue been refurbished and become the new home for Roundhouse, who began in the 1970s creating entertainment for Vancouver’s Planetarium (as well as other cool gigs, like creating shows for several Expo 86 pavilions).
Tickets are $12 ($11 with BCIT card) for VidLaser shows, and there’s a Double Feature deal for $22.
