Get ready to celebrate.
The Indian Summer Festival returns to 鶹ýӳthis July for 10 days of celebration with a dynamic theme of “Tricksters, Magicians and Oracles.”
The ninth annual offering will feature novelists, stand-up comedians, musicians and storytellers from across the globe at various locations throughout the city. The festival’s byline “Where Worlds Meet”speaks to the festival’s focus on artistic collaboration. Specifically, the festival aims to promote, “a society that is creative, diverse, inclusive and innovative” through the arts.
The festival will include a number of ticketed, as well as a multiple free and by donation events, running from July 4 to 14.
The July 4 opening party will offer a variety of culinary delights created by top chefs at the Roundhouse Community Centre. Transformed into a whimsical circus, the roundhouse will feature jugglers, fortune tellers and musicians, as well as culinary wizard Vikram Vij.
The event is “dress to impress,” and the ticket price will include a drink and food.
The Indian Arts Summer Society is a non-profit organization and registered charity based in Vancouver.
