For the first time ever, the renowned听Australian artist听is taking her hyper-realist, fantastical creatures outside of the museum and into our backyard.
Piccinini says that her art should 鈥渃hallenge us to explore the social impacts of emerging bio-technology and our ethical limits in an age where genetic engineering and digital technologies are already pushing the boundaries of humanity.鈥�

The exhibit transforms a wing of 18 rooms in Strathcona鈥檚 historic Patricia Hotel, and transports viewers into the hyper-realist dimension.
The intimate hotel setting for Curious Imaginings will empower visitors to personally consider questions posed by the exhibition, including the promises and consequences of genetic research and human interference.
Curious Imaginings is open daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. until Dec. 15.
