The songs of Leonard Cohen were never just about the music or just about the words. They were about how we felt when the two powerful forces merged together.
Three choreographers have been charged with adding another element to our response to Cohen's oeuvre — how those songs quite literally move us.
Louis Robitaille, the artistic director of BJM (Les Ballets Jazz de Montréal), commissoned Andonis Foniadakis, Annabelle Lopez Ochoa and Ihsan Rustem to work with him and Eric Jean on Dance Me — The Music of Leonard Cohen. This dramalurgical dance exploration, which Cohen approved before his death, comes to Vancouver's Queen Elizabeth Theatre on November 22 only.
Tickets go on sale June 22 at 10 a.m. on .
