Do you love root beer? Like, really, really love root beer? Mark your calendar for May 25, when the fourth annual Root Beer Festival goes down.
Happening rain or shine on May 25 at Douglas Park in Langley, the Root Beer Festival will feature over 50 different root beers from across North America, along with food and live entertainment.
While admission to the event grounds is free, you’ll want to bring cash to buy food on site, including several eats infused with root beer, like root beer pastries, root beer fudge, root beer candy, and more. You can of course buy root beer by the case to enjoy at home, or indulge in a root beer float or two.
For those who want to taste the array of root beers, you’ll want to get a set of in advance. The “early bird” package has 50 tasting tickets for $25, which you can dole out among friends and family as you wish, sold in advance online. But there are only 500 sets of the 50 tasting tickets up for grabs, and there may not be any left to purchase on site. As a bonus, “early bird” ticket holders can hit the fest an hour early.
400 packages of 20 tastings for $10, and 350 packages of 10 tastings for $5 will be up for grabs at the event.
