Dec. 30
. Zeppelina, Canada's only all-female Led Zeppelin tribute band, will get the led out one night early at the British Ex-Servicemen Association Club. The VanMusic's New Years Eve Party at 1143 Kingsway will open with Two Apple Tobacco performing Frank Zappa covers. Concertgoers are encouraged to wear 1970s psychedelic fashions to the show. Doors 8 p.m. Cover $5. Drink specials start at $2.

. With a miniature indoor skating rink, icedancing performances choreographed with Olympic figure skater Gary Beacom and an accompanying live orchestra performing a score inspired by the music from movies made by David Lynch, New Years at the Waldorf Hotel is a difficult ticket to resist. The first hotel-wide event since Halloween also includes dance music producer Blood Diamonds performing with a surprise guest. (Blood Diamonds produced for Das Racist the song "Girl," which was recently named on of the 50 Best Singles of 2011 by Rolling Stone Magazine.) Magicians and fortunetellers will perform throughout the hotel at 1489 East Hastings St. There's a "forbidden" areas where masks are required for entry-masks will be provided in complimentary gift bags-and local DJs including Cherchez La Femme, Mandy-Lyn, Genie, Lil India will be spin until 4 a.m. Only online tickets that include a special New Years dinner remained as of Dec. 22: $95 for vegetarians, $100 otherwise. waldorfhotel.com.
. The historic Salt Building in the former Olympic Village will see life with Rouge NYE 2012. Intimate Productions and Blueprintevents.ca co-present the event that includes performances by Ricco and Vinnie the Squid, Timeline, Love and Electrik and Ali Sani. The Burlesque Beauties are poised to perform a special countdown. VIP tables are available for groups of five to 10 revellers. intimateproductions.com.
. Intimate Productions is also mounting Intimate NYE 2012 at Electric Owl, 928 Main St. One room will feature underground house while the other will blast nu disco, French electro and house. Tickets $50. intimateproductions.com
. The Biltmore's also givin'er with two rooms. The cabaret will feature Glory Days DJs with a special performance by Too High Crew, while the Howard Johnson Hotel Ballroom features Ice Cream Social DJs. 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. Tickets $25. biltmorecabaret.com.
. If all goes well, the floor at the Commodore Ballroom will bounce with the Famous Players party band and DJ Paul the Wall. Tickets are available for dinner and dance or just the dance. clubzone.com.

The local Bridgemen DJs, JGarrett, Jay Zoney, Gr: uwe and (Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»legend) DJ Noah, along with special guest Soolah are throwing a party, 2012, for those seeking underground beats in a more intimate and affordable New Years setting. The five veterans of the music scene will create a mix of groove-driven techno and house to satisfy the most discriminating dancers and newcomers alike, 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. at 56 Powell St. $20 membership fee. bridgemen.net
