The H.R. MacMillan Space Centre invites earthlings to come dressed as their favourite rebel or empire character to this . You can make your own glowing light saber and enjoy games, activities and live demonstrations. In addition, the observatory will be open so that guests may view galaxies far, far away.

The Geekenders Presents A Nude Hope: A Sci-Fi Burlesque Adventure
The Rio Theatre hosts three epic nights of this May. The sci-fi classic is playfully rebooted into a sensual two-act production presented by the Geekenders theatre troupe. They encourage attendees to don their best Star Wars costumes, too.

The Return of the Golden Archies
The Princeton Pub hosts an epic with prizes handed out to the best dressed attendees. The Golden Archies will play rock hits from the ’60s to the present throughout the evening. The organizers recommend that guests come early to get a ring-side seat.

Star Wars Day | Burnaby Public Library – Cameron Branch
From Star Wars origami to a Star Wars scavenger hunt, the offers a number of fun things to enjoy on the big day. There will also be a photo booth, sing-a-longs, and a screening of Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Star Wars '80s Party
The Astoria hots an awesome of its popular Galaxion '80s night. The sci-fi fiesta will include Star Wars visuals, retro games all set to sci-fi and space games, and prizes for best Star Wars costumes.

Star Wars Trivia
While it doesn’t take place on May 4, this instalment of Tipsy Trivia. Questions range in difficulty from “What is the name of Luke’s uncle?” to “What world’s surrounding system contained an area of space the rebels called Sector 47?” What’s more, the top three teams receive hundreds of dollars in Star Wars prizing and gift cards.
