Three culinary events will take place on the Ambleside waterfront as part of this year’s Harmony Arts Festival: Best of the West, Night on the Pier and, new this year, Indigenous Feast.
Best of the West
The 8th annual Best of the West, sponsored by Grosvenor Americas, returns to Ambleside Pier with 12 of the Lower Mainland’s best restaurants selecting their own wine pairings in competition. The winning pair will capture the title of Best of the West.
Best of the West takes place Wednesday, August 8, from 7 to 9 p.m. on Ambleside Pier.

Night on the Pier
Night on the Pier celebrates the fizzy rebirth of cocktail culture with eight of BC’s top bartenders, including competitors from the Rosewood Hotel Georgia, Juniper, Nomad, Keefer Bar and Milestones. Mixologists are challenged to craft wild new concoctions for guests to enjoy. This year, there will be a panel of expert judges to award the winning libation.
Night on the Pier kicks off on Thursday, August 9, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Ambleside Pier. Tickets are $75 and can be purchased by phone through Select Your Tickets at 1-866-514-5050 or online at .
Culinary Duo Package
The Culinary Duo ticket package of $150 includes both Best of the West and Night on the Pier. This ticket package includes one (1) ticket to each evening event and can only be purchased by phone through Select Your Tickets at 1-866-514-5050.
Indigenous Feast
The Indigenous Feast, is the inaugural celebration of Indigenous cuisine. Opening with a “blessing of the food,” the evening includes a live contemporary jazz performance by Murray Porter and a curated menu from Salmon n’ Bannock. The menu includes traditional dishes such as barbecued sockeye salmon, poached halibut, smoked oolichan in a blanket, bison berry ribs, three-sister salad and B.C. wines from Indigenous World.
