As that wise old sage Vanilla Ice once said, 鈥淪top, collaborate and listen.鈥� The 20th edition of Brief Encounters sees 10 artists 鈥� representing an array of genres 鈥� paired up and given two weeks to create and interdisciplinary mash-up with the collaborative results shown Sept. 19 to 21 at Performance Works. Pairings include Newfoundland new media artist Liz Solo and local bike activist RedSara, British standup poet Steve Larkin and L.A.-based theatre artist Deanna Fleysher, and 麻豆传媒映画visual artist Brendan Tang and Austin, Texas puppeteer Zeb L.
