The cinematic crime in question? The 1967 Japanese B-movie King Kong Escapes, about an evil scientist who plans to kidnap Kong to use him to dig for gems in the Arctic. In the process, Kong 鈥� sensitively portrayed by a man in a gorilla suit 鈥� must do battle with the robotic Mechani-Kong. All this and the Gentleman Hecklers鈥� live snide commentary? It鈥檚 a win-win.
