The Cinematheque screens Alice Rohrwacher’s The Wonders July 23 to 29, billed as an “understated, observant coming-of-age tale set during a golden summer in rural central Italy.” The film won the Grand Prix at Cannes last year and was voted the best film of 2014 without U.S. distribution in a Film Comment poll.
