1. Duplicitous duo Charlie Gallant and Ryan Beil star in the Arts Club Theatre Company's production of Oscar Wilde's beloved satire The Importance of Being Earnest. 2. Theatre at UBC and MFA Directing student Patrick New get their hands bloody with a new production of Macbeth. Shakespeare's tale of ambition, fate, murder, guilt, imaginary daggers and moving forests runs, appropriately enough, one week after the Ides of March, March 22 to 31 at UBC's Frederic Wood Theatre. 3. Celebrating emerging and established B.C. composers, this year's Sonic Boom event features ensemble-in-residence 麻豆传媒映画Brass Project, guest artist Michael Murray, composer-in-residence Owen Underhill and a new electro-acoustic piece by Yota Kobayashi. Presented by Kickstart, the inaugural Wide Angle Media Festival showcases commissioned shorts, feature length fi lms and workshops by fi lmmakers with disabilities, including Laurence Cohen's World War I-set Will.
