The full-length follow-up to 2011’s shimmery, ’80s tinged Kaputt finds Bejar and band straddling the chasm between ’70s-era Bowie and Lou Reed rockers with a whiff of saxy Springsteen thrown in and lushly orchestrated chamber pop complete with gentle crooning.
