Star Trek, Family Feud make PNE Fair debut. Win passes!
Calling all Trekkies to...the PNE? This year marks the return of the PNE Feature Pavilion, showcasing the new 20,000 sq.ft. Star Trek exhibit brought in from Vienna, Austria. The Pavilion harkens back to the days when the PNE was known for its incredible walk-through exhibits. This one will take you through the bridge of the Starship Enterprise and feature a display of original costumes, masks and ship models, giving glimpse firsthand to the imagination and artistry that have made Star Trek the most enduring science fiction franchise in history. The exhibit will feature photo ops and a Star Trek store with memorabilia to add to your collection or to help start a new one. The live version of popular television game show Family Feud also makes its Canadian debut at the PNE. Families will compete for prizes, guided by host Bob Goen known for co-hosting Entertainment Tonight with Mary Hart for more than a decade and for hosting Miss Universe and Miss USA. Catch returning favourites the SuperDogs, Peking Acrobats, the 4-H festival and the must-see Summer Night Concerts series (starring Olivia Newton-John, Heart, Rick Springfield, Hanson, Nick Carter, Our Lady Peace, Colbie Caillat (pictured) and more) during the Fair at the PNE, from Aug. 18 to Sep. 3.

Zombies terrorize Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»streets
The fantastic Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»food carts wont be enough to stop the hordes of hungry flesh-eaters that descend on Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Aug. 18. Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Zombiewalk 2012 shambles into its seventh year, bigger and more shocking to unsuspecting locals and tourists than ever. Ground zero is the Art Gallery steps, where masses will assemble around 3pm. The Zombiewalk begins promptly at 4, travelling up Robson towards Denman. The walking dead then hang a left on Denman and continue on to English Bay. While the elaborate special effects are what draw the crowds, participants in the brain train are reminded to please keep your bloody bits to yourself, and not on other people or property.
