The plaza in front of the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Art Gallery was a sea of denim on May 4 in celebration of the annual Jeans Day.
Jeans Day is a fundraiser for BC Children’s Hospital. People are encouraged to buy a pin and wear jeans in support of the children and families who rely on the hospital. The hospital's foundation hosted a barbecue at the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Art Gallery plaza. People enjoyed the warm weather, burgers, and an opportunity to take photos with mascots from BC Children’s Hospital, BC Lion, and the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Whitecaps.
People also had the chance to meet celebrity athletes Henrik Sedin of the Canucks, David Edgar of the Whitecaps, and Jason Arakgi of the BC Lions. Faris Abdulwahab, BC Children’s hospital Jeans Day champion child, was also present.
