Suspension bridge sparkles while Douglas firs inspire at Canyon Lights

Capilano Suspension Bridge Park brightens up winter nights

Canyon Lights at Capilano Suspension Bridge Park gets it just right.

There are enough sparkling holiday lights strung along trees and forest-top trails to make you say, "Wow, this is beautiful."

But there are also enough pockets of darkness to make you say, "Wow, this is serene."

With one million lights, the West Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»park certainly gets the star treatment this time of year. The trees along the Capilno Drive entranceway can rival any theme park with their razzle dazzle. Once you're in the park, however, the stately grace of the towering Douglas firs and the sounds of the Capilno river carving its way deeper into the canyon create their own, more natural magic.
