Students from St. Mary's elementary school, St. Francis de Sales, St. Catherine’s Langley and St. Helen’s School joined soldiers from the 39th Brigade to place poppies at veterans’ gravesites at Mountain View Cemetery on Wednesday.
It’s the third year that 鶹ýӳstudents participated in the “No Stone Left Alone” remembrance ceremonies.
No Stone Left Alone Memorial Foundation is dedicated to honouring and remembering Canada’s veterans. The ceremonies, which take place in cemeteries across Canada during Remembrance Week, are aimed at providing students and youth with “an authentic experience that creates knowledge, understanding and appreciation of those who serve and of the sacrifice of Canada’s fallen.”
