Canned tunes won't be the only music you can hear at the beach during the Celebration of Light. For the third year, SHORE 104.3 radio station is presenting live bands at SHOREfest before the fireworks blast. Aug. 3. The Sojourners and Paul Pigat play free shows at Vanier Park, 7 to 10 p.m., and Sheree Plett, Ben Sigston and The Matinee play free shows, 6 to 9 p.m., at Kits Beach. Aug. 6, Leeroy Stagger and Headwater play a free show in Vanier Park, 7 to 10 p.m., and the Sumner Brothers, Freeflow, Steph Macpherson and Zaac Pick play at Kits Beach, 5 to 9 p.m., where the 2011 Song Search Winner will be announced.
