Snowboard tryout

Got a passion for the pow pow? Live to free-ride or dream about the boomers? The B.C. Snowboard Association invites all snowboard athletes aged 13 to 18 to an open tryout for the provincial development program Dec. 3 at the Mount Seymour ski hill.

Got a passion for the pow pow? Live to free-ride or dream about the boomers? The B.C. Snowboard Association invites all snowboard athletes aged 13 to 18 to an open tryout for the provincial development program Dec. 3 at the Mount Seymour ski hill. The program supports competitive snowboarders that the development teams train five months a year on snow plus two months of pre-season dry-land training. The program is designed for riders aged 13 to 18 who have some competitive experience. Training takes place in the Lower Mainland and the Okanagan. Athletes must have a B.C. Snowboard membership, which can be purchased online or at Saturday's selection camp. Athletes who make strong contenders will have a competitive mindset and be looking to improve their skills. They will have some local competitive experience and be dedicated to training seriously seven months of the year. There is no cost for the selection camp. Pre-registration is encouraged.
