The park board has approved the development of a public park in front of the new development at 333 Main St., at the corner of Main and West 18th Avenue. The .09-hectare property is also bounded by a slip lane, which will be removed prior to the park construction to allow the green space to sit adjacent to the new development. Hapa Collaborative is the landscape architect firm leading the project. The park is expected to be completed by early 2012. An open house about the project is being held July 19 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Grimmett Park on West 19th Avenue just off Main Street.
