More than 60,000 festive lights kick off the holiday season with the annual lighting of Canuck Place, a hospice that provides care and programs to children with life-threatening illnesses. The lighting of Canuck Place house takes place Nov. 30 at about 5: 30 p.m. The celebration, including a performance by the Bach Choir and strolling characters from Goh Ballet's The Nutcracker, runs from 5 to 7 p.m. Canuck Place Children's Hospice is located at 1690 Matthews Ave.
