The Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Heritage Foundation presents Jane's Walk with author and historian John Atkin on Saturday, May 5. Jane's Walk celebrates what's great about the neighbourhoods, places and cities we live in and honours the legacy and ideas of urban activist and writer Jane Jacobs. Since its inception in 2007, Jane's Walk has happened in cities across North America and internationally. Atkin will explore a slice of the city that overlooks the Grandview Cut, which is home to a number of heritage houses and some unexpected cutting-edge, modern architecture. The walk runs from 10 a.m. to noon and starts at Clark Drive and East Sixth Avenue. It is free and no registration is necessary. For more information, see vancouverheritagefoundation.org.
