When I first started performing in drag 12 years ago, friends said I looked like Barbra Streisand. I think it had something to do with my nose!
After her voice, Barbra Streisand is (arguably) best known for her nose. Barbras gloriously elongated nose has helped redefine the definition of beauty. Streisands looks opened the door for other ethnic and non-traditional-looking actresses. Some find Barbra Streisand to be incredibly beautiful; some think she is unattractive. In retrospect, like it or not, the Streisand profile is her trademark and makes her instantly recognizable.
I think thats why I love her so much she is a person of passionate convictions and opinions that she is not afraid to share or change for anyone!
It is impossible to number all my favorite moments that Barbra Streisand has given to me and her loyal fans. But some of my favorites include her duet with Gay icon Judy Garland Get Happy and Happy Days Are Here Again from The Judy Garland Show in 1963 , her song Dont Rain On My Parade in Funny Girl, and her unforgettable on-screen pairing with Robert Redford in The Way We Were. when she brushed the hair from his face.... That ending still gets to me every time!
She is an artist of unparalleled accomplishments in multiple entertainment fields.
