The 2013 Hope in Shadows calendar was released for sale this week. Hope in Shadows is a Pivot Legal Society project that sees disposable cameras handed out to residents of the Downtown Eastside. The thousands of photos submitted are then narrowed down to a dozen, which are compiled into a calendar. The project's goal is a quest to find photographs that best capture the spirit of that community as seen through the eyes of the people who live there.
