Remember when the Grouse Grind opened last month only to close a few weeks later for seasonal repairs and maintenance? Well, the popular trail is anticipated to reopen again on Thursday, June 21.
The Grind officially opened for the season on May 2 before closing May 22 for seasonal safety maintenance, which has included removal of dangerous trees, rock scaling, safety netting replacement and step repairs, noted a release from Metro Vancouver, which oversees Grouse Mountain Regional Park as well as the Grouse Grind.
“This work is necessary to ensure the Grouse Grind trail is safe and can withstand an expected 500,000 visits this year,” the release stated.
