MUSEUM MENTION

The Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Maritime Museum has made the top 10 list of Marine Insight magazine's best maritime museums list.

The leading pelagic publication describes the local treasure trove of aquatic achievements thusly: "Built as a commemoration to the city's centenary, the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Maritime Museum boasts of various relevant and important Canadian maritime artefacts. In its almost six decades of operation, the museum has played an important role to provide full satiation to the marine enthusiasts' desire to explore more about the domain."

The naval-gazing seaside attraction on False Creek joins the likes of the San Diego Maritime Museum, Sydney Maritime Museum, and England's National Maritime Museum as one of the finest facilities of its kind from across the seven seas.

"This is a wonderful acknowledgement of the quality of our Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Maritime Museum, its collection and of the depth of our maritime heritage in the North West," said executive director Simon Robinson in a release.
