Accomplished photographer and adventure travel TV host Art Wolfe presents "Between Heaven and Earth," a 90-minute multimedia presentation tracing his many treks through the Himalaya region, documented with his photographs. BATS OF BURVILLA

Follow the flight of this fascinating mammal at sunset, Aug. 5, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Deas Island Regional Park in Delta. Listen for their hunting sonar using a bat detector as they dash and dart in search of mosquitoes and moths. Learn about the mysteries of their nocturnal life as you experience their nighttime world. Be prepared to walk two kilometres outdoors in the evening, wear layers for changing temperatures. It's for ages six and up. Call 604-432-6359 to register. BIG QUESTIONS TOUR

Popular artist and graphic novelist Anders Nilsen brings his Big Questions Book Tour to Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­July 31. The comics-lit icon from Chicago will sign and read from the 584 page collected Big Questions (Drawn and Quarterly). More than 10 years in the making, the collection has been called "a modern literary marvel." He'll be at Lucky's Books and Comics (3972 Main St.) from 7-10 p.m. Sunday. VIDEO SHUFFLE

Knowledge Network presents artShuffle, a multimedia platform for new and established artists. Online, it's a showcase for hundreds of video performances and stories with the bonus of an art "shuffle" function to randomize the viewer's experience. On air, it's a curated television version of the website presenting the most interesting and noteworthy pieces. The first films selected for broadcast on Knowledge Network will air Thursdays at 11 p.m. July 28, Aug. 4, 11, 18 and 25. If you're an aspiring artist or filmmaker with a knack for storytelling, visit artShuffle.ca and upload your video --it just may be selected for broadcast on Knowledge Network.
