The seventh annual night for All Souls at Mountain View Cemetery is Oct. 29 this year from 6 to 10 p.m. There will be music, warming fires and fragrant teas to comfort the living, and public shrines to remember the dead. Other activities include: Threshold Singers: Honouring the tradition of bedside singing, Oct. 30 and a screening of Forever (a film about Père Lachaise cemetery in Paris), Oct. 31 at 7 p.m. A number of workshops will also be held before the All Souls evening, including Creating Personal Shrines; Sugar Skulls; and Illuminated Memorials.
