It wouldn’t be Christmas downtown without Candytown.
The annual free outdoor Christmas festival returns to the streets of Yaletown this Saturday (Nov. 21) complete with live music, street performers, local artisans, and more holiday cheer than you can handle.
Last year, an estimated 15,000 people came out to kick off the holidays, and this year, Candytown is shaping up to be even bigger and better.
Mainland Street will be transformed into a winter wonderland, with lights and candy canes adorning the lamp poles and costumed characters parading down the street. For those looking to do some holiday shopping, there’s a specialty gift market carrying unique gifts and holiday treats.
Candytown is put on by the Yaletown Business Improvement Association and is free, open to the public and sure to get people into the Christmas spirit.
