Thousands of people were without power across British Columbia due to a powerful windstorm that is hit the South Coast Friday.
Stanley Park was closed and a number of BC Ferries sailings were cancelled due to the windstorm.
Residents and media across the Lower Mainland captured videos and photos of the storm and posted them on Twitter. The posts depict everything from massive waves at the seawall to uprooted trees to what has been coined a “leafagaddon” – a gust of wind picking up a collection or leaves.
Have a look at some of the best photos and videos from Friday.
