VCH is offering 7 walk-in coronavirus vaccination clinics on Aug.4, 2021, at the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Convention Centre and the Kerrisdale Community Centre.

No appointment? No problem.

Vancouverites looking to get their second dose of the coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine can now do so in several walk-in clinics spread around the city.

This Wednesday, Aug. 4, clinics are offering 20,000 doses to anyone 12 or over who still hasn’t received their first jab. The initiative, dubbed "Walk-in Wednesday", is all part of the provincial government’s efforts to move onto the fourth step in its reopening plan (slated to go into effect no earlier than Sept. 7), which means you don't need to register online or phone before you arrive.

The following Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»locations are participating, some even have concerts and other entertainment to enjoy while in the queue.

  • Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Convention Centre East Building, 999 Canada Place
    • Drop-in clinic, live music, City Opera Popup pop-up concerts with Soprano Shadan Saul (Aug. 4, 10 a.m., 11 a.m. and 12 p.m.)
    • Xtreme Cheer and Dance Troop performance (Aug. 4, 2 p.m. – 3 p.m.), Emily Best performance (5 p.m. – 9 p.m.)
  • Italian Cultural Centre, 3075 Slocan St.
    • Drop-in clinic, live music, gratitude wall, Scott Verbeek performance (5 p.m. – 9 p.m.) Aug. 4, 9 a.m. – 9 p.m.
  • Kerrisdale Community Centre – Seniors Centre, 5851 West Blvd.
    • Drop-in clinic, gratitude wall. Aug. 4, 9 a.m. – 9 p.m.

Other walk-in events will be hosted throughout the week, for a complete list of the events and their locations you can check out this map.

While you're at it you might feel the need to share your gratitude to those working on the frontlines of the pandemic and the BCCDC has come up with a way to help by creating

“Share a thank you letter or a note of gratitude for the thousands of frontline workers who kept us safe during the pandemic and worked to get us all vaccinated,” the BCCDC’s website reads.
“Post them on your window at home, leave a note after getting vaccinated or share messages online.”
