Employees at three McDonald's locations in Metro Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»have recently been confirmed as having the coronavirus (COVID-19).
McDonald's Canada posted the new cases to , indicating the following affected restaurants in the region:
- 22780 Lougheed Hwy., Maple Ridge: Last day restaurant employee worked: Feb. 20, 2021.
- 1131 Austin Avenue, Coquitlam: Last day restaurant employee worked: Feb. 22, 2021.
- 815 McBride Blvd, New Westminster: Last day restaurant employee worked: Feb. 24, 2021.
The fast-food giant also reported a case on Feb. 24 involving a restaurant employee in Abbotsford at 2106 Whatcom Rd. That worker's last shift was on Feb. 19.
None of the McDonald's locations are considered public exposure sites by Fraser Health.
Currently, McDonald's Canada is listing a total of 12 restaurants in British Columbia with infected employees, with last working days going back to mid-month for some.
McDonald's Canada says it has "maintained a commitment to remain transparent in our communications, so that restaurant employees and guests are informed and can contact their local public health authorities for directions, if needed."
"For any guests who may have visited the restaurant and have questions, please take directions from your local public health experts," says McDonald's Canada.
