Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Coastal Health (VCH) has issued a coronavirus (COVID-19) public exposure warning for a high-end downtown Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»restaurant.
The notice applies to Glowbal at 590 West Georgia Street, and the potential exposure dates are from March 19 to 27 during all operating hours.
This is the flagship restaurant of the Glowbal Group, which operates other venues like Italian Kitchen, Coast, and Trattoria across Metro Vancouver.
All restaurants in British Columbia are currently closed to indoor dining business; Glowbal has been offering take-out and patio service. As of today, the earliest a table is available by reservation for the restaurant is Friday, April 9.
Though the potential exposure is believed to be low-risk, patrons who visited the establishment during the dates and times specified in the alert are encouraged to self-monitor for symptoms of the virus.
According to VCH, there is no known risk to anyone who visited Glowbal outside of the dates specified in the COVID-19 public exposure warning. If those who did attend the restaurant during those times remain healthy and do not develop symptoms, there is no need to self-isolate and those people can continue to carry out their usual daily activities.
The only other active COVID-19 public exposure warnings in the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Coastal Health region apply to a pair of Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»pubs, as reported earlier in March.
