There are now 143,264 cases of the coronavirus (COVID-19) in B.C. after health officials announced 378 new cases Thursday (May 27).
Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry reports that there have been 98 new cases of COVID-19 in the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Coastal Health region, 189 in the Fraser Health region, 9 in the Island Health region, 68 in the Interior Health region, 14 in the Northern Health Region and no new cases in people who reside outside of Canada.
There is no update on the variants of concern in the province.
There have been seven new COVID-19 related deaths, for a total of 1,690 deaths from the virus.
There have been no new outbreaks.
The PHO order on faith services has (including in open-sided tents and under overhead coverings).
There are 3,543 active cases of COVID-19 in the province.
Of the active cases, 286 individuals are currently hospitalized with COVID-19, 88 of whom are in intensive care.
3,032,811 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in B.C.; 156,730 of these are second does. 62 per cent of eligible British Columbians over 12 years old have received one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine in B.C.
