Brock Boeser’s debut with the Canucks was all too short. In his 9 games at the end of the season, he and showed great chemistry with Bo Horvat and Sven Baertschi.
Canucks fans are eager to see him back on the ice and hoping that he can provide some of the goalscoring that was absent from the Canucks lineup for most of last season. Waiting two months for the start of Canucks preseason seems like far too long.
Fortunately, there’s an alternative. Boeser will be joining other hockey players with ties to Minnesota in Da Beauty League, battling to win the coveted John Scott Cup, which is actually a beer keg.
The key for Canucks fans is that the games will be streamed live on and . If you’re going through hockey withdrawal, this could scratch that itch.
Boeser has his Minnesota hockey bonafides, as he was born in Burnsville, MN, which is where he played his high school hockey. He joins a team captained by fellow Minnesota-native Dustin Byfuglien that also features Trevor and James Van Reimsdyk, Zach Bogosian, and Chris Stewart.

Other big-name players taking part in this summer's Da Beauty League are Paul Martin, Ryan McDonagh, Jake Guetzel, Brock Nelson, Alex Goligoski, Nick Bjugstad, and Drew Stafford. Former Canuck Jordan Schroeder will also be suiting up.
