It’s time for “Stick in Link”, the feature where we just plug in a bunch of stuff written by others! Featuring a smattering of links from around the Smylosphere and beyond every Tuesday and Thursday. Warning: our links are so hyper, they change colour when exposed to heat. (Have something for us to share in the next edition? E-mail us at [email protected] or tweet us @passittobulis. Or tell us some other way. The point is: we'll probably link it if we know about it.)

- In his first game back from the IR, Luca Sbisa dropped the gloves with Anthony Peluso, got punched in the side of the head several times, and left the game with an injury. Derek Dorsett expressed his concern for his teammate, but added, “It’s part of the game, I guess.” Except it doesn’t have to be. []
- Not only is Sbisa injured, but his hit on Nikolaj Ehlers might put him in the crosshairs of the Department of Player Safety. Personally, I doubt anything will come of it: Ehlers put himself in a bad position and Sbisa looked to make contact with his shoulder first. []
- Best tidbit from last night’s Provies: Willie Desjardins is grooming Chris Tanev for the first power play unit. Thinks he’ll be a big power play guy in the future. Of course, this is the same coach who put Derek Dorsett on the second power play unit, so take that with however many grains of salt you deem appropriate. []
- Elliotte Friedman’s 30 Thoughts this week featured a few thoughts on the Canucks. I loved Ben Hutton’s comments on playing against Evgeni Malkin, but the most intriguing comment was on Nikita Tryamkin, who hasn’t been in the spotlight much since he was drafted in 2014. []
- Alex Burrows missed a game to fly back to Â鶹´«Ă˝Ół»for the birth of his son, but he wouldn’t have made it in time if not for Francesco Aquilini. []
- Jeff Paterson lost his job at TSN 1040, which is a massive bummer. The Canucks beat is going to miss him: he was always professional, always knew the right questions to ask, and always managed to pull the most random statistics out of nowhere. Here’s hoping he’ll land on his feet and keep covering the Canucks in some capacity.

- Before the season started, I was looking forward to what the Sedins, some of the most creative and innovative players in the NHL, could do with 3-on-3 overtime. Turns out my hopes were misplaced, as 3-on-3 is all about speed, speed, and more speed. The Sedins are lacking in two or three of those things. []
- Here are 10 ways the Canucks could tank in a more entertaining fashion. []
- The Islanders are apparently looking to trade Travis Hamonic to a team in the Western Conference, preferably a Canadian team. Should the Canucks be interested (yes) and, more importantly, will they be willing to pay the likely exorbitant price to get a deal done (no)? []
- Alexandre Grenier made his NHL debut against the Jets and looked like he belonged in the big leagues, using his size and strength to win battles on the boards. Matt Bartkowski on the other hand, was pretty terrible, particularly on the Jets’ second goal. Omar has the gifs to prove it. []
- These two dudes do weekly video recaps of the Canucks. This last week made them a bit upset. Pretty solid rant, but the real highlight of the video is the Peter Skudra jersey hanging on the wall.
