It’s time for “Stick in Link”, the feature where we just plug in a bunch of stuff written by others! Featuring a smattering of links from around the Smylosphere and beyond every Tuesday and Thursdayish. Warning: our links are so hyper, they change colour when exposed to heat. (Have something for us to share in the next edition? E-mail us at [email protected] or tweet us @passittobulis. Or tell us some other way. The point is: we'll probably link it if we know about it.)
- Jeff Paterson wrote a piece on Sven Baertschi and how he is struggling to stay positive. He's yet to put up big numbers despite the fact that he has the coaches trust and has been playing well on a line with Bo Horvat. Sven must have been inspired by the article, because he went out the next day and put up three points in Arizona. []
- In The Provies, Jason Botchford ruminates on how badly Arizona sucks, on the fact that Bo Horvat is pretty much already a first liner (and the Canucks should sign him soon, and long-term), and on the latest Luca Sbisa hashtag (#PlayForVegas), among many other things. []

Speaking of Bo, Canucks GM Jim Benning claims that 鶹ýӳis going to try to sign him soon, and long-term. Great minds, right? And don't worry, no bridge deal here. That's a good call, as I suspect Horvat will be worth quite a bit more a few years down the line.
GM Benning says management group will now focus on Horvat and they'd like a long term deal there, not bridge.
— Dan Murphy (@sportsnetmurph) - Hey, did someone say bridge deal? Ben Hutton signed one. He'll remain a 鶹ýӳCanuck until 2019, and will carry a cap hit of $2.8M per season. Halle-freaking-lujah, that's a steal of a deal, and probably the right amount of term to figure out what they've got. []
- By signing Hutton to a bridge deal, 鶹ýӳseems willing to potentially dole out a big contract to Hutton in a few years. According to Jim Benning, if that's the case, he doesn't mind. []
- Figure your favourite Canuck player is due to break out? Depending on who you root for, J.D. Burke may have either good or bad news for you. He analyzes the PDO (otherwise known as the "puck luck" statistic) of all Canucks players to determine who is most likely to come on later this season. A really fascinating read. []
- Las Vegas (or should I say Vegas) has a name for their hockey team: the Golden Knights. You heard it here last! Janik Beichler discusses the logo, colour scheme, name choice methodology, and who from 鶹ýӳmight end up being selected in the coming expansion draft. []
- In an interview with TSN 1040, Ben Kuzma talks Ryan Miller, the Vegas Golden Knights needing to be competitive out of the gates, and the shakeups that might be needed in the Canucks hockey operations. []
- Omar at the Daily Hive digs into Vancouver's lack of success so far. Despite the fact they sit third last in the league, the Canucks should be quite a bit more competitive (and a few leading teams should be doing quite a bit worse), at least so say the advanced statistics. []
- Remember all the chatter regarding Alex Burrows' no-goal the other night against the Dallas Stars? Take a look at this shootout goal by Thomas Hickey if you enjoy being puzzled. []
- Bo Horvat is everything that Cody Hodgson was not. Always90Four writes about the surprise trade of Cory Schneider to pick Horvat, the lack of drama, and his surprisingly steady progression up the 鶹ýӳlineup. []
