Itās time for āStick in Linkā, the feature where we just plug in a bunch of stuff written by others! Featuring a smattering of links from around the Smylosphere and beyond every Tuesday and Thursday. Warning: our links are so hyper, they change colour when exposed to heat. (Have something for us to share in the next edition? E-mail us at [email protected] or tweet us @passittobulis. Or tell us some other way. The point is: we'll probably link it if we know about it.)

Burrows would just like Cole to give him a piggy back ride cc
ā Stephanie (@myregularface)
- I canāt believe I missed this during the game against the Penguins, but Alex Burrows totally tried to pull a Bulis, ie. jumped on a playerās back to get a piggyback ride in the middle of a game. Donāt remember when Jan Bulis pulled this trick? Let me remind you:
- Brendan Gaunce and Alex Biega have been sent back down to the AHL. Joining them is Jacob Markstrom for a conditioning stint as he continues to recover from his preseason injury. []
- You can file this under āReasons to Reevaluate Mike Gillisās Drafting Record.ā Last nightās Provies talks about Anton Rodin, who Gillis drafted back in 2009 and is tearing up the SHL, leading the league in scoring with 10 goals and 24 points in 16 games: āThe former GM would wax on about his skating and that alluring dynamic skill. āJust wait,ā heād say.ā []
- Alex Burrows played his 700th career game on November 2nd, but heās somehow still massively underrated. This season, despite not playing with the Sedins, Burrows is tied for second on the Canucks in scoring. Has anyone noticed? I mean, other than smart and attractive bloggers? []
- I love this quote from Brock Boeserās coach at North Dakota: āWhen he shoots the puck he isnāt just trying to get it on the net, he is trying to put it through the back of the net.ā Jim Benning and Willie Desjardins probably like this quote more: āI think a lot of it has to do with his solid two-way game. He isnāt just a goal scorer. His play away from the puck is tenacious. When he doesnāt have the puck he wants to get it back. He gives up his body to block shots and that is something special for players of that quality.ā []
- "Willie Desjardins high on Canucks' young players" says this headline, which worries me: how full of drugs are the Canucks' young players if Desjardins is getting contact highs off of them? []
- Are you worried about the Canucksā weak possession statistics this season? Maybe you shouldnāt be. []
- These gifs from Tuesdayās Babych Please amuse me a great deal. Never trust Alex Edler with a knife, apparently. []
- Dimitri Filipovic brings the goaltending fancy stats to Canucks.com, illustrating just how good Ryan Miller has been early in the season for the Canucks and also how much theyāve needed him to be that good. []
- Don't like fancy stats, but still want to read about Miller's improvements this season: Jason Botchford has you covered. []
- I was so interested in reading about whatās happened to the Canucks training camp invitees from this past summer that I was willing to look past the ātainingā typo in the title. But Iām still petty enough to point it out. []
- You may want to discuss this question from r/Canucks, but I donāt want to think about it, because the Sedins will never retire, NEVER: āWhen The Sedins Retire, Do You Think They Will Be First Ballot Hall of Famers?ā []
