The Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Canucks won't have their leading scorer in the lineup for Monday's Game 7 against the Edmonton Oilers.
As , Brock Boeser won't be available for Game 7 due to a health issue and that his status for the rest of the playoffs, if the Canucks move on to the next round, is unknown.
Boeser was absent from Sunday's practice, along with J.T. Miller and Tyler Myers. Head coach Rick Tocchet indicated that their absence was "maintenance" related but Boeser's absence was clearly more serious.
Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman has reported that for Boeser but stresses that his sources say it is "not considered a life-threatening situation."
Boeser, after scoring 40 goals in the regular season, was leading the Canucks in scoring with 7 goals and 12 points through 12 games, all while playing in a match-up role on the top line with J.T. Miller and Pius Suter.
This is devastating news for Boeser as well as the Canucks, but the first priority is Boeser's long-term health.
UPDATE: According to Daily Faceoff's Frank Seravalli, Boeser is likely done for the remainder of the postseason, as he has been placed on blood-thinning medication.
