Over the last few months while researching for our upcoming history book I've gained an even greater appreciation for British Columbia and all of its weird and wonderful stories than I had before. Born and raised in this province I've always been curious and aware of its past, and drawn to pieces of it, but as I dig deeper and deeper into books and museums and historians' minds I feel I'm getting sucked into a vortex of nostalgia and weird stories. I'll come out of it after my deadline next year... I think.
While clicking through Tumblr I recently happened across this newly designed linen cloth (tea towel?) from local studio . It exudes the spirit of British Columbia's Centennial back in 1958. The illustration, the colours, the very essence of the thing brings me back to the Province-wide celebrations of our BC's 100th birthday, even though I've only ever experienced it by looking at photos and reading of it on printed pages. I love this linen, and if you're a BC hound with an eye for great design then I imagine you might too. Check it out .
