Downtown's Granville street has been re-inventing itself. You might have noticed many new businesses popping up along the entertainment district. Alex Bastide took a giant leap and opened his second Underworld Shop in Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»at 1043 Granville (next to Leo's Camera).
Last friday night, UW had an open house party to celebrate their new shopping venture. You'll notice that new store is much more spacious and the modern black & white theme creates a calming experience where the only colors that pop out are the shirts hanging on the walls.
(more on the shop w. photos!)
Every brand is divided into it's own section, so it is easier to find that design you love to wear. The store is technically referred as a skateboard store; thus they have a huge skateboard selection downstairs to fulfill any wood-pushing demand.
Underworld is a big supporter of Canadian talent and should be noted that they used many Canadian skateboard photos in their light boxes like this kickflip of Chad Dickson at Stanley Park shot by local photographer, Joel Dufrense.
My favorite thing about the UW stores are always the window displays. The new store currently has a creative display made by local artist Danny V for Altamont x Ralph Steadman.
Next time you are walking along the new Granville sidewalk either going home from work or heading to the club,  pop into the store to see what good things are brewing.
