We might scoff at those millennials and their love of technology, but the Generation Z kids who are school-age right now are making creating technology, and the science behind it, vital to their learning.
One core aspect of tech literacy is coding, which is one of the focal points of the annual which for 2017Â takes place December 4 to 10. That's when cities across the globe participate in events, when students can take one-hour coding tutorials from industry experts.
Currently there are over 3,000 Hour of Code events registered in Canada, and among them several in the lower mainland.
At Microsoft in downtown Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»on December 4, 80 students will experience an interactive and highly visual Hour of Code session that will have them doing everything from coding on Minecraft to getting their hands on circuit boards and more.
