To me, egg nog has really become symbolic of what we've been doing on this blog for the past 6 years. We don't cover crime, we don't break bad news or things that'll make you angry; we simply celebrate things that make your city great in order to put a smile on your face and remind you what keeps you here despite all the awful crap. Awful crap happens all over this great city of ours, and you don't have to look very far to read about it, so the one "breaking" story that I've got into the habit of doing is the scoop that egg nog has become available. This morning the nice folks at sent a bottle of egg nog to our office, making the perfect addition to my coffee. Avalon was the first company in BC to have certified organic milk and is celebrating their 107th birthday this year. That's pretty awesome. We just might be working with them on reviving our , so stay tuned for that.
