Cannabis marketplace coming to East Van

Higher Goods is not your typical church bazaar, craft fair or farmers’ market. Touted as the “marketplace for lifted lifestyle,” the kicks off at 220 Prior St. in East 鶹ýӳon Oct. 14. (You’d be hard-pressed to know that, though, since the date and time of the kick-off weekend aren’t listed on their website or social media.)

Reached by phone, an organizer by the name of Smokey explains that one of the strengths of the event is that shoppers will get a chance to speak directly to the makers of the products.

“Higher Goods is a specially curated gathering space and marketplace, to connect the community with the best in local craft cannabis products,” reads a press release.

Extending the connectedness to , the elusive organizers are encouraging potential shoppers to “come and say high.”

Items available will include plants, cannabis-infused edibles, topicals, tinctures and oils, alongside “lifestyle” crafts, artisanal goods and plants.

Smokey also stressed that the event is for 19-year-olds and up. Security guards will be checking ID at the door, and shoppers will be required to put their purchases in child-proof plastic bags (available for free upon exit).
