I can't believe it's day 12 of our 12 days of bringing you the awesomeness of in the holiday season! Prior to our partnering on this series I really didn't know much beyond the Public Market. I knew that there was more to it and I had visited a bunch of the areas of the Island but over these weeks I really got a feel for the diversity that exists. One of the things I hoped to illustrate over the post 12 posts (and 4 videos) is that there's such a rad community on the Island, jam packed with so many people and businesses that it basically has little neighbourhoods within itself.
This last post is all about stocking stuffers! I hope it encourages you to get out into every corner of the Island when you're there (there are thousands of corners corners) and explore. Take heed to the sign below and you'll soon find yourself in the Railspur District (one of those corners).
Within this district are all types of artisans, and some of the best stocking stuffers I found here were at Ainsworth which is a marketplace that has work from a number of BC artisans. Shown below is a table of stuff from Mary Kim, one of my favourites.
On the other side of the Island is, of course, the Public Market. It's filled with stocking stuffers of all sorts, mostly edible and sweet!
Lastly, one of the best kitchen stores on the planet is located between Railspur and the Public Market, inside the Net Loft: The Market Kitchen. It's a small space with a seemingly infinite number of small gifts (as well as a bunch of larger ones!).
So that's it! Here's the archive of posts we made:
