North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP are investigating a pair of reported stabbings on Dec. 28 and 29 — believed to be unrelated — with the first one sending an 18-year-old male to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police were called to a business on the Trans-Canada Highway about 6 p.m. and found the victim being tended to by a witness.
The suspect, who possibly goes by the name “Keenan,” is described as white and five-foot-seven with brown/blond hair, and wearing a black tuque and black puffy jacket.
The Dec. 29 incident was reported about 7:20 p.m. at the Tim Hortons on Trunk Road in Duncan.
Witnesses said they saw several people start an altercation with a man outside the restaurant, with one of them possibly having a knife.
Everyone involved had left by the time police arrived and no stabbing victim was found.
Police continue to investigate both incidents and are asking any more witnesses to come forward.
