Prince George dinosaur eats Santa Claus

"For Christmas, he’s eaten Santa and at Halloween he eats witches."

Look away, children. Look away.

Grandma may have gotten run over by a reindeer in the past but a Prince George grandma has a dinosaur that's eaten Santa and all that’s left is his beard and a boot.

Kendall DeMenech has a grandson that at four years old was so very interested in dinosaurs that when she found a roaring, red-eyed dinosaur skeleton in amongst the Halloween decorations at a big box store a few years back, she just had to have it.

Daschle, Kendall’s grandson, knew so much about dinosaurs that when people tried to say the prehistoric monster was a tyrannosaurus he was the first one to correct them. Ali is an allosaurus. He’s got three fingers at the end of each of his longer-than-a-tyrannosaurus’s arms, not just two.

The dinosaur moved over to Daschle’s pre-school for a while but he found his way back home.

“He’s been in the front yard ever since,” Kendall said. “I decorate him each holiday and the first and last day of school. For Christmas, he’s eaten Santa and at Halloween he eats witches. He’s got a lunch box ready to go on the first day of school and there’s usually a sign that says ‘have a great day!’ and on the last day of school he’s got on summer clothes.”

He's stood up well through all the seasons.

“I’ve had to only reinforce him once,” Kendall said. “He’s a cool toy. A lot of people stop to look at him. One Halloween there was a guy in an inflatable tyrannosaurus rex costume and he had to get a selfie with him. It was hilarious.”

Kendall said she and the grandchildren love having a dinosaur.

“It’s supposed to be fun and it’s supposed to be welcoming,” Kendall smiled.
