You can buy this 30-foot falcon sculpture for a cool $250,000

It's similar to one on display in Dollywood right now

An artist in the Fraser Valley has fabricated a gigantic falcon that is currently available to purchase for $250,000.

Kevin Stone has been working in steel since 2004 and, he tells Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» in an email, has completed over 20 similar works, including one that was for Dolly Parton's Dollywood theme park in Pigeon Fork, Tennessee.

A ticketed welder who went to school at Camosun College on Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Island, he runs a mechanical shop in Chilliwack as his main occupation but also chisels out enough time in his schedule to complete an average of two sculptures per year.

Complex and ornate, the  he currently has available for purchase is constructed of polished stainless steel. It weighs in at around 3,000 pounds.

It took him nine months to complete, and it was originally supposed to be on display at the Big Boys Toys show in Las Vegas, an event where people with a lot of money gather to purchase things like beautifully handcrafted $250,000 falcon sculptures.

Unfortunately, COVID-19 put a stop to that plan, so he is now looking for a potential local buyer here in B.C.

However, the sculpture was designed to come apart in four pieces and can be shipped anywhere in the world.

Stone is currently working on a 50-foot long dragon inspired by Game of Thrones, which will be heading to California once it's completed later this year.
